The topic of sustainability has an economic, social and ecological dimension and concerns us all. Not least for this reason, the Warehousing and Solutions Department has dealt with it intensively within the framework of a working group. The committee is unanimously convinced that we can only achieve something in the industry in the long term if we all - every single one of us - take responsibility for acting sustainably. With united forces, mutual motivation and in a constructive exchange, this can succeed and our industry can thus contribute to sustainability.
This attitude is the approach we have formulated in the sector. It does not matter whether we are talking about large companies, which have written the hot topic at the top of their agenda anyway due to their international orientation, or whether we are talking about medium-sized and small companies; everyone can make a valuable contribution to sustainability in our industry.
The Federal Council adopted its Sustainable Development Strategy 2030
in 2021. Based on the 17 sustainability goals published by the UN, the Warehousing and Solutions Division has selected seven that we believe are relevant to the freight forwarding and logistics industry and can be implemented.
The sustainability booklet
is intended to serve as food for thought and a source of ideas. It shows practical examples of how sustainability can easily be lived in everyday office life without having to make large investments. It also serves as a basis and overview of how employees in your company can be made even more aware of the topic.
The booklet does not claim to be complete. On the contrary: the new SPEDLOGSWISS product should live and be continuously enriched with links and valuable information.
