History and purpose of the organisation
An excellent infrastructure, which also includes bonded warehouses and rail transport, offers a high degree of economic benefit. Schaffhausen is very well connected to the road, rail and air transport network, both internationally and nationally.
Situated at the centre of important European freight traffic flows, the region has direct motorway and rail connections, including combined transport, especially to Germany, Italy and Scandinavia.
As an important gateway to and from Switzerland, Schaffhausen offers short throughput times and low transport costs, especially for the Zurich economic area, thanks to its geographically favourable location.
As SPEDLOGSWISS Schaffhausen, we represent the interests of our members vis-à-vis the economic and political environment at regional level. The section develops a positive image of our industry and promotes solidarity among the member companies.
We deal with all issues relating to transport and labour law on behalf of our member companies. As a progressive association, we are responsible for the future-oriented training and further education of specialists in the forwarding and logistics sector.
